it's not easy being green

We recognise we have broad responsibilities to our people and our community and we take them seriously. Remember that old Johnny Mercer song - 'you've got to accentuate the positive and eliminate the negative'? Not a bad approach, we thought.

Sure, the science of climate change is far from settled, but we made the call that it was better to err on the side of caution. At the end of the day, we're tradies, not scientists. And it's not our planet to gamble with. So we made a commitment and we're going to keep it.

We've also spent a bit of time ac-cent-tchu-ate-ing the positive. We make a bit of coin but we're not billionaires, and we have truckloads of amazing people who work here, but we don't have a cast of thousands. So we look for areas where what we do have makes a difference. And we make it.

If you're interested in knowing more about our environmental commitment and recent initiatives, let us know and we'll send some information out to you. By email, of course!

"We kicked-off in '86 with a handful of staff and a truckload of new ideas. We wanted to turn the industry on its ear and do it our way. Twenty-odd years on, a swag of awards and a few new mates, we've done more than we could ever have imagined.

And we still love doing it. I must be mad - or just an f'ing nice bloke. I prefer to think the latter, and you'll see I've adopted it as a formal qualification earned from a life in the restoration industry."
